Vision & Mission

Agriculture Department is one of the total 14 departments of Palghar Zilla Parishad. Agriculture Development Officer is the head of this department. Through the department, various state-funded, central-funded and district self-funded agricultural development schemes are implemented.

Objectives & Functions

1. Implementation of Government Schemes Effective implementation of agricultural development schemes through state, central and district self-funding and providing government facilities to the farmers.
2. Quality Control of Agricultural Inputs- Quality control of seeds, fertilizers, pesticides is carried out through the department to ensure that the farmers get the best quality inputs for agriculture and avoid fraud.
3. Agricultural Extension – Promotion and popularization of new agricultural technologies among farmers.
4. To look into the working of the Agricultural Committee meeting of Zilla Parishad.
5. To see the work related to the establishment of officers and employees of the department.
