Pesa Day was celebrated through Nandore Gram Panchayat today, December 24. The program was concluded in the presence of Chief Executive Officer Ravindra Shinde, Deputy Chief Executive Officer Chandrashekhar Jagtap, Group Development Officer Narendra Revandkar, Sarpanch Sonal Ghodke, PESA President Surendra Sambre, Ashok Jadhav, Panchayat Samiti Member Seema Patil.
On the occasion of PESA Day, floral tributes were paid to the portrait of Jannayak Birsa Munda. The Union Government’s Ministry of Panchayat Raj had given instructions to celebrate December 24 as PESA Day, and in accordance with that, instructions were given through the Chief Executive Officer to organize various activities in the Pesa Gram Panchayat of the district and celebrate PESA Day, in accordance with that, PESA Day was celebrated in the Pesa Gram Panchayat of the district. The PESA Act has come into existence to make the tribals aware of their rights and to convert their rights into rights. The Gram Sabha has the right to fully plan the development works to be done in its area in accordance with the development of its villages or the regulation or planning of other works, therefore, maximum people should attend the Gram Sabha and exercise their rights, said Chief Executive Officer Ravindra Shinde. The Chief Executive Officer expressed satisfaction over the large number of students from Nandore Ashram School present for this program. The future of India is the generation and for your life to be healthy and happy, you have to take care that the same does not happen to the natural resources of your area, he also appealed.
During this program, women like Dhawaleri women, Suvasin, Suin Tai, who sang traditional songs at village weddings, were honored. Also, Praveen Trainer Ambat Sir, who guided the PESA workshop organized, was honored on this occasion. Extension Officer Vinod Patil presented the introduction of this program. Gram Panchayat members, Village Extension Officers, Taluka Managers, PESA, other officials, employees and villagers were present for this program.
