Deendayal Upadhyay Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDUGKY)
Deendayal Upadhyay Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY) aims to target poor rural youth in the age group of 15-35. This includes women candidates, as well as PVTGs, Persons with Disabilities (PWDs), transgender persons and other special groups such as rehabilitated bonded labourers, victims of trafficking, manual scavengers, transgenders, HIV positive persons etc. The maximum age limit for applicants from these special groups is 45 years. The poor will be identified through the Participatory Identification Process (PIIP). Till the identification of poor through PIIP is completed, applicants eligible under any one of the following criteria in addition to the existing list of BPL households below the poverty line will also be eligible to avail the skill training programme, even if they are not in the BPL list – Youth from MGNREGA worker families whose family members have worked for at least 15 days in the previous financial year. Youth from such families who have RSBY card with the details mentioned on the card. Youth from families whose families have been issued Antyodaya Anna Yojana/BPL PDS cards. Youth from families where one member of the family is part of an NRLM Self-Help Group. Youth from families who meet the self-inclusion criteria under the Socio-Economic Caste Census, 2011 (when notified).
