    Giving Incentives to Inter-Caste Marriages

    The main objective of this scheme is to remove caste discrimination in the society and inculcate a sense of integration. For this, a total incentive grant of 50000 is given to the inter-caste marriage couple by the Central Government and the State Government together with the State Government- 25000 and the Central Government 25000

    Beneficiary:

    Couples married where one of the persons marrying is a Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe, Deprived Caste, Nomadic Tribe and Special Backward Class and the other person is an upper caste Hindu, Jain, Lingayat, Buddhist, Sikh are eligible.

    Benefit amount Rs. 50,000/-

    How To Apply

    Application should be made to the District Social Welfare Officer, Z.P., Social Welfare Department through the Panchayat Samiti.
    The application should be filled in clean letters and the copies of the following documents should be attached with the application in order.
    1. Application in the prescribed format and affixed a joint photograph of the bride and groom on it (small size).
    2. Marriage registration certificate from the competent authority
    3. School leaving certificates of the bride and groom.
    4. Caste certificate issued by the Sub-Divisional Magistrate if the bride or groom is a Backward Class.
    5. If the applicant is an Other Backward Class (OBC), caste certificate is required.
    6. 15-year residence certificate (domicile) of the bride and groom issued by the Hon’ble District Collector/Tahsildar
    7. Attach a true affidavit (original copy) on a stamp paper as mentioned in Annexure No. 9 of the other information.
    8. Attach a recommendation letter (original copy) for the bride and groom each from two reputable persons for financial assistance.
    9. Ration card photocopy (must have the names of the bride and groom)
    10. Photocopy of the joint bank account passbook of the bride and groom (must be a nationalized bank.)
